Don’t Freeze Up or Freak Out

You can talk about Jesus without making the conversation weird.

Many Christians want to share their faith but don’t know
what to say, how to begin, or how to talk about Jesus in
a culture that may not always welcome the conversation.

The J Bomb grew out of twenty-five years of the
authors’ experience teaching Christians—including professionals
in the Hollywood entertainment industry—how to talk naturally
and effectively about their faith.

With warmth, humor, and practical examples, Jim Covell,
Karen Covell, and Victorya Michaels Rogers take the pressure
out of evangelism and show that sharing Jesus can begin with
something surprisingly simple: listening.

You don’t need a sermon. You don’t need all the answers.
You simply need to be willing to enter someone’s story and
share the hope you’ve found in yours.

A Revolutionary Three-Step Approach

Their Story. Your Story. His Story.

1

Their Story

Start by listening. Learn to ask questions, discover what
someone believes, and genuinely care about the person in
front of you before trying to tell them what you believe.

2

Your Story

Your experience with God is something you already know.
Learn how to share what Jesus has done in your own life
naturally, personally, and without sounding rehearsed.

3

His Story

Learn simple ways to explain the Good News of Jesus clearly
and confidently—even when you have only a few moments
to share it.

Faith Conversations for the Real World

Simple tools you can actually use.

Start the Conversation

Discover natural ways to move from everyday conversation
into meaningful discussions about faith without forcing
the subject.

Listen Before You Speak

Learn why understanding another person’s story is one of
the most important parts of sharing your own faith.

Explain the Gospel Simply

Learn practical ways to communicate the Good News clearly,
including an approach that can use just one Bible verse.

Share Jesus in a Digital World

Apply the same principles to today’s shorter forms of
communication—including texts, social media, and even
a single tweet.

More Than 25 Years of a Proven Message

One message. A new generation of faith conversations.

The J Bomb carries forward the message and practical
evangelism approach of
How to Talk About Jesus Without Freaking Out,
adapted for a world where conversations now happen
face-to-face, by text, and across social media.

At the heart of both books is the same simple truth:
talking about Jesus doesn’t have to be frightening.
Christians can learn to listen well, share their own
stories, and communicate the story of Jesus naturally.

Together with The Day I Met God, these books offer
practical encouragement for recognizing God’s work in your
own life, telling your God story, and helping someone else
encounter Jesus.
